Behind the Click: Pro Edge’s Role in Award-Winning Cabinets

The Home Depot named Hampton Bay/Glacier Bay Ready-to-Assemble Cabinets with ClickReady Technology the overall winner of its 2026 Innovation Awards. Pro Edge Technology built its OVVO High Speed Line, which prepares panels and inserts OVVO connectors, for the Hampton Bay ClickReady cabinet program.

When The Home Depot recognized ClickReady cabinets for tool-free, snap-together assembly, it put a spotlight on a connection that is prepared long before a customer opens the box. That preparation is the work of production machinery such as Pro Edge Technology’s OVVO High Speed Line, which prepares cabinet panels and inserts OVVO connectors at production scale. Pro Edge Technology, an Official OVVO Technology Partner, built the line for OVVO, and its published product information states that the line was purpose-built for the production requirements of The Home Depot Hampton Bay ClickReady cabinet program.

The Home Depot announced the overall winner of its 2026 Innovation Awards, Hampton Bay/Glacier Bay Ready-to-Assemble Cabinets with ClickReady Technology, at its Annual Supplier Partnership Meeting, according to a company announcement dated October 7, 2026. The retailer said ClickReady technology was designed to simplify installation, allowing cabinet pieces to snap together with “zero tools required.”

The connector behind the click

OVVO identifies its connector technology as the system powering the ClickReady assembly experience in the award-winning cabinetry. According to OVVO, its connectors are integrated into cabinet components during manufacture, so the connection is ready before the product reaches the customer. At assembly, panels join at the OVVO joint without tools, glue, or screws, and the connections stay concealed for a clean finish.

The roles are distinct. OVVO supplies the connector technology. Pro Edge Technology, a woodworking machinery company based in Palmetto, Florida, builds the equipment that readies each panel to receive those connectors and then places them.

From infeed to offload

Pro Edge describes the High Speed Line as a single automated sequence. Panels enter at the infeed, where they are loaded and automatically sorted for entry into the line so that parts flow in a consistent order. They then pass through an automated boring station that prepares each part for connector insertion.

Next, automated OVVO injector stations insert connectors into the prepared panel positions. Pro Edge’s station demonstrations show the injectors being moved into place under programmed servo positioning. Connector feeding runs alongside insertion rather than as a separate step: vibratory bowl feeders supply OVVO connectors to the injector stations throughout production, giving the insertion process a continuous supply to draw from.

At the end of the line, finished parts are automatically offloaded and sorted by robotics, completing the sequence.

Why repeatability matters

A connection that a customer completes in moments depends on preparation repeated on every panel in a production run. Each prepared position and each inserted connector has to match what the cabinet design expects, part after part. Pro Edge says the High Speed Line is designed to support high-volume, consistent OVVO insertion and cabinet panel processing at the scale required for major retail supply chain production.

Coordinating those steps in one line means panels reach each station in the order the next process expects, while connectors reach the injectors through the bowl feeders as panels are processed. OVVO makes a related point in its announcement: easier assembly begins at the design stage, where connector selection, panel preparation, and the assembly sequence have to work together. Production equipment is where that plan is carried out at scale.
